Of this completely awesome 1987-ish Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag XJSC V12 that I found at one of the uncles houses. Also, I think there’s a early 40’s Buick or Chevrolet in one of the pictures.

What is it about uncles and their crazy car collection that is rotting in their yards? My uncle has a 1970 Challenger SE that has been rotting in a field since he blew then engine back in the late ‘70’s.

love the xjs. and the v12. the biggest issue i’d see with bringing that ol girl back to form is the rust bubble behind the driver’s door. that may be the sign of more serious rot in more important structural elements.

next time youre there, stick your head inside. if it smells musty or moldy, it’s likely to have a draining issue somewhere, which likely means the oxidation has begun. at that point its probably only worth restoring for someone who has an affinity to this particular car.

dammit jaguar... why’d you have to be so convoluted in designing this thing.
